Why are Burlington Taps & Valves so good?

There are three types of tap heads - Claremont, Anglesey and Birkenhead - and each type of tap is available in to different heights.

  • Regent taps are 3cm higher than standard taps (and in the case of wall mounted taps 3cm further away from the wall) . By adding 'Regent' to the tap description you are specifying a tap that is 3cm higher.
  • All taps are manufactured from brass ingots and chrome plated to 0.3-0.4 micron
  • All tap indices, telephone handsets, divertors, bath pug indices and the overflow filler indice are made from ceramic - absolutely no plastic!
  • All shower hoses are high flow (16mm internal diameter) and 'anti-kink' and 1.2metres long
  • All chains are link chains, not the thread and ball type
  • All bath taps are 3/4"
  • All taps come with a Neoperl flow straightener (for low water pressure) and a Neoperl aerator (for high water pressure) and a Neoperl key to swap the two items out
    Benefits of Neoperl:
    • the aerators are designed to limit the flow of water to a fixed rate - regardless of the incoming water pressure - so you have optimal performance from your tap, without wasting any water.
    • aerators create the 'champagne' effect in the flow of the water
    • flow straighteners make the flow of the water cleaner, so there is less splashing
    • Burlington is the first traditional range that can be specified for all commercial & hotel contracts in the UK. Most larger contracts specify the exact flow rate required by each type of faucet in the building. For large projects we can provide the specific aerator for a specific commercial contract to create the exact flow rate required and we can also customise the indices as well.
    • the aerators & flow straighteners have a serrated edge - so even if you lose our fitting key you can use the aerator / flow straightener that you want to fit into the tap as a key to unlock the existing aerator / flow straightener!
  • All bath filler spouts and bath shower mixer spouts swivel to the left or right - so now your partner need not have a tap projecting in his or her back! Also when you are showering in the bath you can swivel the spout, so you do not have it in your way.
  • All bath fillers and bath shower mixers are available in an 'angled, version - so now you can see the taps heads at the correct angle when you walk into your bathroom
  • All bath shower mixers (BSM) come with a 'S adjuster'. This is additional piece is inserted into a bsm via two allen key fixings (allen key is supplied) . It has double recessed 'O' rings internally on both sides - this means that the 'S adjuster' can be installed at a fixed angle or in a semi-rigid manner. The 'S adjuster' is designed so that the last drips after using the telephone handset drip into the bath - not onto the tap ledge (this reduces cleaning, and reduces mould and potential water ingress at the perimeter of the bath). If installed in the semi rigid manner - you can swivel the 'S adjuster' left or right - to be parallel with the short side of the bath - so it is out of the way if two people are in the bath or you are showering in the bath Every BSM is supplied with the 'S' adjuster in the box - so the consumer can make their choice in their home at the point of installation.
  • All bath shower mixers are designed so that they are compatible with all the over bath showering combinations that are available from Burlington.
  • Our bridge basin mixer enables you to have mixed hot and cold water, whilst retaining the traditional two tap hole configuration in the basin. It also has a swivel spout - you can swivel the spout and the water comes up vertically - so you have a water fountain (it also can make washing your hair in a basin easier!)
  • Taps will be WRAS approved by early 2011
  • Packaging is designed to 0.8m drop test (you can drop the tap in it box at any angle onto a concrete floor from 0.8m - and it will not be damaged!)
  • All taps are packaged in white Burlington boxes, with cut out foam internal - so that the tap cannot move at all within the box - this prevents any scratching or damage in transport.
  • Basin & bidet mixers are available with a high central Burlington ceramic indice or a low central Burlington ceramic indice. These two combinations are supplied in the same box - so the consumer can make their choice in their home at the point of installation.
  • You can click on each product on the web site - and see a larger image, the installation instructions and the full product specification
